Pastor Admits “Rape The Gay Away” of Four Teen Boys – Serves NO JAIL TIME

If you want to know why we continue to raise awareness about childhood sexual abuse, and in response to those who seem to think we are crying “chicken little” when it comes to this issue, look no further than this one case. A pastor in Iowa who ADMITTED to raping four teen boys, and has had eight others come forward since, had his sentence reduced from 17 years to NO JAIL TIME.

Our judicial system is broken when it refuses to protect the most vulnerable of our society and if you don’t think it can happen to your children and in your neighborhood then don’t say you weren’t warned when it does. If we won’t stand up now for children like these, then who will when it’s your child, or your neighbors kids?

Please help us to get these judges and lawmakers removed from office and have the statute of limitations on sex crimes against children removed, nationwide.

In 2006 David took the first step in a long and painful journey back from the abyss of addiction and self-destruction. He promised his dying father that he would get clean. And he did. But as he cleaned his body and soul, he began to confront the sexual abuse that his addiction had for so long obscured — abuse perpetrated by a church youth minister when David was 12 to 15 years old. Those three years of abuse destroyed the foundation of love and faith that had been built by his family. For 25 years, David kept the abuse secret and lost himself in a fog of drugs and alcohol. He was by turns destitute, at times incarcerated. The promise to his dying father was the catalyst. And the bedrock of his mother’s love and devotion was the foundation on which David rebuilt his life. Therapy, 12-step meetings, and soul-deep determination were the bricks and mortar. David founded Together We Heal to provide fellow survivors and their families, guidance through the trauma of childhood sexual abuse. In 2015 he was asked to become a part of the Child Safeguarding Initiative team with GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment) to empower the Christian community through education and training to recognize, prevent, and respond to child abuse. David represents Together We Heal & GRACE across the country as a public speaker and instructor; teaching churches, schools, and families how to talk with their kids about sexual abuse, how to better identify predatory behavior, and how to properly respond to those harmed. 1. Reblogged this on For His Glory and commented:
We must do something to stop the raping and abuse of our children, both by rapists and abusers and judges who treat rape and abuse like traffic tickets.

  2. Regrettably again a horrendous rendering of injustice regarding sexual offense perpetrated on the very young, innocent and most vulnerable in supposedly trusted place. Even more from the hallows of sanctuary and under the disguise of pastor ship which should make us all want to holler first followed by direct, concerted political action. This is not unlike the racial discrimination often peppered with hangings primarily in the South of blacks in earlier times. Raw, blatant injustice which was pervasively devastating if not deadly for so many and went without redress for so long. Then came Freedom Riders, demonstrations of outrage, courage, confrontations, sacrifice, martyrdom, consideration, reeducation and finally lawful, sweeping changes that redefined American Jurisprudence.
A similar arc of thought and movement is required in this matter and will ultimately prevail with our appropriate attention and action. The miscreant pastor born 08/15/79 has an astropsychological profile which evidences great gifts of charm, trust, persuasion and performance especially with the young. However, there are deep and abiding internal conflicts surrounding issues of latent homosexuality which are suppressed in the prison of misguided religious dogma. It is likely and usually typical that this offender in cloth was himself abused similarly in his youth by a trusted member of his community. Therefore, the cycle continues surreptitiously, generationally and without relief until a groundswell of indignation, awareness and action. And that time is now. Let the chorus say, Amen, Ase’, So Moite Be or which ever attests and confirms needed transformation of humanity in regard to abuse and violence of whatever kind in this propitious era, 21st century.

  3. This is very disturbing! Our judicial system is truly messed up. This pevert should be sent to live with the judge that set him free. The judged should be handcuffed to him daily.

  4. Here is where we create a petition to have the sentenced overturned to original version and we have his wife be the first one to sign. How typical is it that someone in a position of authority and trust use their title to molest in the quise of helping the child mature in one way or another? What could possibly possess the judge (besides the devil himself) to overturn a confessed molestation charge? If the wife is not supporting him, we need to do everything possible to show her support from the community of Breaking the Cycle and give her and her children all the counseling and support they need. That is my stance, create the petition and I am signing!!!!!!

  7. I have to tell you that this hits way too close to home for me – not that they were trying to rape the gay away, but that it was done because God told them to and it was their way of showing God’s love for me. When I read the things I have read about this story, it does give validation to me of what i went through – its so easy to think that I’m the crazy person, when in fact I know the reality. I’ve come a long ways in my own healing, but I weep for the boys that this man has harmed.
